The Faculty of Technology produces graduates in the fields of chemistry, chemical technology, technology, process engineering, materials engineering and food engineering, and also management. Numerous career opportunities are available to its graduates in a wide range of fields and areas, ranging from technology to management or independent entrepreneurial and research activities. Activities in these fields are based on projects of grant agencies, long-term research projects of the MEYS, and first-class facilities and equipment available to all the Faculty's PhD students. Scientific disciplines at the faculty primarily include chemistry and technology of polymeric materials, industrial process control and production economics, and applications of information technology in industrial production control. In the field of development, mutual cooperation between the Faculty on the one hand, and the industrial sphere and foreign institutions on the other, plays a very important part. Among the oldest major degree programmes taught at the Faculty of Technology, there are "Chemistry and Materials Technology" and "Chemical and Process Engineering". The former primarily deals with the processing of natural and synthetic polymers, while the latter is focused on software control of these processes and their optimization. In this research area, the Faculty has achieved outstanding international success, including production applications
